Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Screening at ORF
TSA has applied new screening procedures and rules for carry-on bags at airports nationwide and aims to monitor the safety of the airports. At ORF Airport checkpoint, the TSA procedures require passengers to place all electronic devices in separate bins for X-ray screening. TSA officers assist air travelers with new requirements. The same rules apply for items that can be carried, and this includes food and liquid items that must comply with the ‘3-1-1’ liquids rule, books, and electronics, all of them can be allowed in carry-on bags. Prohibited items, such as knives, weapons, explosives, etc. are subject to TSA security rules.
Important Documents at ORF
From the beginning of October 1, 2020, all air travelers must present a Real ID-compliant driver's license. Other state-issued documents such as driver's license, the U.S. military I.D. card, a valid passport, etc. are allowed to fly among the U.S. Passengers should ensure that the Real ID card is correct, by checking the star marked on the top of the card.
