U.S. Custom and Border Protection / Global Entry
On arrival at Norfolk International Airport, all travelers should go through the customs clearance at CBP. A U.S. Custom and Border Protection aim to check and monitor all passengers, their documents, such as passport, visa, I.D. cards, Residence Permit Cards, Immigration Documents, Federal state-issued I.D.s, etc. CBP officers ensure the safety of newly arriving travelers, and after checking the documents proficiently, they allow passengers to cross the U.S. border. The checking process takes approximately 10 minutes per passenger.
Baggage Claim and Meeting Points
After the passport control, passengers should claim their baggage. The baggage claim area is situated on the ground level of the Arrivals Building. At Norfolk airport, self-serve SmarteCarte luggage carts are provided outside the ticket counter areas, near the curbside area. SmarteCarte luggage cars can be taken from inside the Arrivals Terminal near baggage carousel N2, also at rental car return service on 2ndlevel-garage A., The cost for SmarteCarte is $5, with a $.25 refund upon the return to any cart racks.
